Job Summary

Works on legal research projects with the Center for International Media Law and Policy Studies in The Media School.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED.

Ability to work with minimal supervision with a strong self-discipline to adhere to deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner. Ability to perform duties using either a MAC or PC based upon individual preference and availability; and ability to utilize current software and internet to perform research and publish findings. Candidate must possess excellent legal research skills. Possess expertise in using Lexis, Westlaw, and/or Nexis Uni, as well as offline legal materials. Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions, keep accurate records, and exercise good judgement. Strong attention to detail as well as organizational, critical thinking, editing, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

BA or BS in a media/legal-related field.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

Candidate must be able to work in an office environment and either sit or stand as necessary. Repetitive work with eyestrain from extended computer usage. May require lifting of materials such as copier paper (more than 10 lbs.) each day.
