Job Summary

Designs, develops, and implements software applications and tools in support of teaching, learning, and administrative operation of the Kelley School of Business. Collaborates with staff and faculty to conduct business analysis in order to advise on user functionality and determine technical approach and specifications. Determines technical feasibility and design solutions that meet hardware, software, and security requirements. Conducts related planning, design, programming, testing, implementation, and support of systems. Advises and assists consultants and help-desk technicians in support of faculty, students, and staff end users. Serves as a team expert in current technologies and helps evaluate the feasibility and benefits of implementation. Leads the larger, more complex, and critical team projects. Assists in system architecture decisions and in the choice and implementation of development tools and software within the team. Helps guide and promote the development and advancement of other team members.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and five years of programming experience that includes software application development, relational database design, and multi-tier architecture.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Experience leading technical analysis and decisions on large team projects. Ability to analyze, design, and develop complex data driven web applications and software utilizing current programming practices and technologies. Expert level knowledge of current development practices and experience with advance implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft .Net technologies, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Cold Fusion, JavaScript, and CSS.
